When somebody asks you to imagine an African safari, the chances are, whether you know it or not, that what comes to mind is an image of an East African landscape.
From the flat, open plains shown in the opening scenes of The Lion King to the rich jungles of Gorillas in the Mist, East Africa is home to abundant wildlife and iconic landscapes. However, you’d be mistaken if you thought that was all it had to offer.
